KELSTON ROAD COMMUNITY FOOTBALL

Kelston Road Community Football, are football sessions run by junior coaches (aged 16-21) for the benefit of young people & delivered for free during school holidays at Kelston Road in Keynsham, B&NES.

The area is one with mixed levels of social housing and experiences high levels of Anti Social Behaviour. The award winning project, set up in 2011 by Joe Ryan and his brother Louis, has significantly reduced levels of ASB in the area and won praise from residents, community leaders and local police, including the PCC.

For the latest updates on this project, Like the Kelston Road Community Football Page on Facebook or Follow the project on Twitter @KelstonRdFBall .

Frame Football

A 2nd Chance FC allows children who use a Frame to walk a chance to play football. Frame football is a unique version of the beautiful game played by children who have cerebral palsy (CP) and use a frame to walk. The Bristol Frame Football Club team, formed by Nick Dewfall in September 2015, is the only one of its kind in the west of England and attracts players from Yeovil, Gloucester, Swindon, South Wales aswell as closer to home.

Frame Football runs every Saturday Morning between 10:30 and 12, at the Action Indoor Sports Centre, BS14 0XA so be sure to come along!

For the latest updates on this project, give the Action Indoor Sports Frame Football Club Bristol a like on Facebook or a follow on Twitter @Bristolframef .

Walking Football

The Walking Football Club at A 2nd Chance FC, allows men & women who may have played football in the past a chance to play a slower version of the game.

Nick Dewfall set up the first walking football session in August 2014 in Keynsham Park before moving to Keynsham Town FC in December 2014. After 12 months the set up was handed over to KTFC to self-manage.

Now, A 2nd Chance FC runs numerous walking football sessions across B&NES and has had a fantastic impact among many of its participants, Harry a keen player at many of the sessions said "After having been diagnosed with terminal cancer & 2 major ops I did not think it would be possible to do any exercise. Walking football has had a tremendous effect on me & my personal outlook has changed. I would definitely recommend it to other people”
